Code of Conduct and Policies
By registering to attend JASMUN '25, participants agree to the following rules and policies, which are designed to ensure a respectful, safe, and professional environment for all:
1. Any form of racism, sexism, xenophobia, bullying, or other discriminatory behavior will result in immediate expulsion from the conference.
2. Any misdemeanor, disruptive conduct, or inappropriate behavior during sessions, social events, or breaks will result in removal from JASMUN. Severe violations may be reported to local authorities.
3. The possession, distribution, or use of alcohol, nicotine products, or illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Violations will lead to expulsion and, in serious cases, involvement of law enforcement.
4. Participants must maintain respect and professionalism toward all delegates, chairs, staff, and advisors. Harassment or misconduct will not be tolerated, and the Secretariat reserves the right to take disciplinary action, including expulsion.
5. Delegates are required to actively engage in discussions, debates, and conference activities, arriving well-prepared and ready to contribute meaningfully to committee sessions.
6. Formal business attire is mandatory for all conference sessions. Failure to comply with the dress code may result in warnings or exclusion from activities.
7. Delegates must arrive on time for all sessions and events. Repeated tardiness or absence may result in disqualification from awards or recognition.
8. Technology may only be used for research or conference-related purposes during sessions. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to create speeches, position papers, or other materials is prohibited, as it undermines the spirit of research and critical thinking. Violations will result in disqualification from awards or expulsion.
9. Delegates are expected to embody the principles of diplomacy, collaboration, and constructive dialogue. Adherence to parliamentary procedure and respectful negotiation is essential.
10. Participants must respect the rules and property of both conference venues: the YMCA West Jerusalem Center and the Ambassador Hotel. Damages caused by negligence or misconduct will result in liability for damages and possible expulsion.
11. Delegates staying in the JAS dormitories must follow dormitory rules, including curfews, quiet hours, and cleanliness standards. Violations, including inappropriate behavior or property damage, may result in removal from the dorms and expulsion from the conference.
12. The conference fee of 450 NIS is non-refundable under any circumstances, including voluntary withdrawal, involuntary expulsion, or failure to attend.
